The CNRS Silver Medal is awarded to researchers for the originality, quality and importance of their work, recognised both nationally and internationally. Nicolas Giuseppone and his team have developed outstanding scientific research in the fields of supramolecular chemistry, molecular machines and functional materials. His work has been recognised and supported at the highest levels, in particular by the award of an ERC Starting Grant in 2010, an H2020 FET-Open Project in 2018 and an ITN in 2020; and by his appointment as a senior member of the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF) in 2023.
